What can I expect from my first appointment?
Before treatment, we assess your lifestyle, concerns, and health goals. This includes a thorough medical history covering past injuries, current health issues, and medications. Some patients may need additional tests (e.g., x-rays, MRIs) to rule out underlying health issues, for which referrals to GPs or other professionals may be made.
Our examination involves diagnostic, orthopedic, and neurological tests, as well as assessing movement and posture, focusing on the whole body to create a comprehensive management plan. For instance, knee pain assessment also includes the ankle, pelvis, and back.
We offer various treatment options like manual therapy, dry needling, and acupuncture, along with personalized exercises, lifestyle advice, and additional resources (e.g., taping, bracing). We encourage patient involvement in health decisions and are available to answer any questions during and after consultations.
